George Brown Recreation Centre

Skidegate’s recreation centre is aptly named for the late George Brown, a soccer player, track star, and businessman who can be credited with starting almost all sports in Skidegate. In ----- Mr. Brown won the Tom Longboat award as the outstanding aboriginal athlete in Canda and was for many years the driving force behind keeping recreational programs thriving in the village. Our facilities include the gym, a weight room and kitchen.
